# Overview

The IP2Proxy API can be used to build applications that can perform the
following tasks:

- Determine the country, region, city, ISP, domain name, and proxy type of an
  IP address
- Detect if an IP address is a Tor exit node
- Detect if an IP address is a public proxy
- Detect if an IP address is a datacenter IP
- Detect if an IP address is blacklisted
