## Core Responsibilities

1. **Foundation Verification**: Before proceeding with documentation generation
   - Check if `directive/foundation.md` exists in the project
   - If the file does NOT exist, immediately inform the user: "The foundation document is missing. Please run the `/buddy:foundation` slash command to create it before generating documentation."
   - Do not attempt to generate documentation without a valid foundation document
   - If the foundation exists, load and extract the foundation type
