# Clayzo SDK License

This license governs the Clayzo command-line software, animation engine, renderers, WebAssembly modules, documentation, and related materials distributed with this license (the “SDK”).

## License grant

Subject to these terms and any applicable account entitlement, Clayzo grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the SDK to author, validate, preview, render, package, and export animations and to embed an authorized, unmodified Clayzo playback runtime in your applications.

You may distribute without royalty:

- media exported by the SDK, including images, video, and animated image formats; and
- applications and websites that contain the authorized playback runtime and your animation documents.

Your animation content and exported media remain yours. Clayzo retains all rights in the SDK, its implementation, formats, protocols, and services.

## Restrictions

You may not, and may not assist another person to:

- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, extract, or attempt to discover source code, non-public interfaces, algorithms, models, keys, or protocols in the SDK, except only to the limited extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- bypass, disable, tamper with, or circumvent authentication, entitlement, version, integrity, usage, or security controls;
- redistribute, sublicense, publish, mirror, sell, rent, lease, or provide the SDK itself as a hosted or stand-alone product;
- use the SDK or its output to create a substantially similar or competing authoring engine, renderer, conversion service, or SDK;
- remove or alter proprietary notices;
- share account credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, or other authentication material; or
- use the SDK in violation of law or another person’s rights.

An application containing the playback runtime may provide playback as part of that application, but may not expose the runtime as a general-purpose SDK or rendering service for third parties.

## Accounts and services

Protected authoring workflows may require an online account and a current entitlement. You authorize Clayzo to verify account, entitlement, accepted-terms version, SDK version, and security status. Authorization requests must not include animation content, filenames, or project paths unless you separately and expressly choose to submit them.

Access tokens are personal or workspace-scoped, revocable, and must be protected from disclosure. CI tokens must be stored as secrets and limited to the intended environment.

## Updates and compatibility

Clayzo may designate minimum supported SDK versions for protected services when reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, or service integrity. Update notices are advisory unless a version is below that published minimum.

## Feedback

If you provide feedback about the SDK, you grant Clayzo a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or obligation.

## Confidentiality

Non-public documentation, symbols, source maps, credentials, pre-release materials, and implementation details made available outside the public SDK are Clayzo confidential information. You must use reasonable care to protect them and may use them only for authorized development.

## Termination

This license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms. On termination, stop using and delete the SDK and credentials. The permissions covering media exported before termination and applications lawfully distributed with the playback runtime survive, as do ownership, restrictions, confidentiality, disclaimers, and liability limitations.

## Third-party components

Third-party components distributed with the SDK, such as fonts, are licensed under their own terms, which are included with them, and are not covered by this license.

## Disclaimer

THE SDK AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAYZO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

## Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAYZO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. CLAYZO’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SDK WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SDK DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

## General

These terms are the complete agreement for the SDK unless a signed agreement with Clayzo says otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
