# Prompt Template — MCP Auto-Configuration (LLM)

Use this prompt with your LLM/IDE so the LLM can automatically configure the MCP in a new repository.

---

I want you to act as a platform engineer configuring our MCP (Model Context Protocol) with a POML-first approach for this repository.

Goal:

- Automatically detect the project type (Node/Python/Go/Rust/Java/.NET or generic).
- Generate `poml-mcp.config.yml` with profiles and triggers tailored to our codebase.
- Generate an onboarding workflow at `.windsurf/workflows/onboarding-setup.md`.
- Suggest next steps: `incident_discovery` and `poml_translate`.

Instructions:

1) Run the MCP tool `auto_configure` in `detect` mode and share the detected type.
2) Run `auto_configure` in `plan` mode and share the proposed onboarding POML.
3) If the plan looks reasonable, run `auto_configure` in `apply` mode to materialize files.
4) Verify that `poml-mcp.config.yml` exists and briefly review its content.
5) Provide next steps: how to run `incident_discovery` (discover/plan) and `poml_translate` (discover/plan/apply).

Rules:

- Do not expose secrets.
- Keep the style professional, concise, and actionable.
- If you find non‑standard structures, document warnings and assumptions.
- If the repo lacks clear signals, use `kind: generic` and default templates.

Expected output:

- Summary of the detected project type.
- Onboarding POML (final applied version).
- Paths of created files.
- Next steps for incident triage and converting docs to POML.
