smolanalytics — Software Licence Agreement

This software is commercial software. It is licensed, not sold.

1. GRANT

   Subject to your compliance with this agreement, you are granted a
   non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install and
   run this package for the purpose of testing and instrumenting software that
   you own or are authorised to work on, including inside your own continuous
   integration systems.

   You may run it as many times, on as many machines, and against as many of
   your own applications as you like. Use of the hosted service at
   smolanalytics.com is governed separately by the terms published there.

2. RESTRICTIONS

   You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent or lease this package or
   any part of it; publish it, or a derivative of it, to any package registry
   or public repository; modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works
   from it; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, or attempt to derive
   its source, except to the extent this restriction is unenforceable under
   applicable law; remove or alter any copyright, trademark or licence notice;
   or use it to build, train or improve a competing product or service.

3. RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

   This is not open source software. No rights are granted other than those
   stated in section 1. All right, title and interest in the software, and all
   intellectual property in it, remain with the copyright holder.

4. YOUR CONTENT

   The tests you write, the recordings this software produces, and any evidence
   it captures are yours. They are plain files in your own repository, and this
   licence claims nothing in them. Nothing here restricts what you may do with
   your own test suite, or requires you to keep using this software to read it.

5. NO WARRANTY

   THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
   IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
   FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

   This software drives a real browser against applications you point it at and
   reports a verdict. It is a testing tool: it does not guarantee that any
   application is free of defects, and a passing result is not a warranty about
   your software. You remain responsible for what you point it at, and for the
   data any test creates.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

   IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR
   OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE,
   ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER
   DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

7. TERMINATION

   This licence terminates automatically if you breach it. On termination you
   must stop using the software and delete your copies. Section 4 survives:
   your tests and recordings remain yours.

8. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

   This package has no npm dependencies. It downloads Playwright on first use
   of the browser-driving commands; Playwright is licensed by its own authors
   under the Apache Licence 2.0 and is not covered by this agreement.
